The Black Hawk is finally beginning to resemble a motor bicycle! I am a little puzzled about the wheel bearings - the vintage type where the cones screw onto a threaded tubular arbor which takes the knock-through spindle. Should there be a slim locknut on each end to secure the cones? I have two, one from each set recovered when I stripped the bearing assemblies. Only one such nut doesn't strike me as being the best engineering practice... Do I need four? Anyone out there have any spares, or am I going to have to make a couple?

Lock nuts

If it is like the later ones, the cone is threaded ,so only one lock nut is required, the threaded cone acts as one lock nut and the slim nut as the other ?
