Use clear sealant . My 20T only has one gasket and that's the Head Gasket.  Use it carefully espically around the barrel ports.

My way anyway.

If you are a member pm me your email address and I will send you information on the side cover. There are O rings in the case for the kickstart and gear change and also for the gear change indicator

Sealing covers

You will find if you put your covers on a flat section production paper and start to rub them just how distorted they are. More than the thickness of a gasket.

Halfords do Locktite sealant and that's very good. You can get grey but not sure about clear. If you clean it off you don't notice it.

Don't over do it you only need a very thin line.
