Look what I found in the toolbox of my Cruiser 39. I knew something was in there but this looks like its original tool kit

What took you so long !

Post  piston 197 on Fri Oct 12, 2018 3:50 pm

Ken, what took you so long ? i found this within 10 minutes of getting it home !, obviously i left it in there as it was part of the bike's history, i think there may have been a few more items in the original kit, but the spanner and grease gun are probably original ?

Yes I know you looked but I had not realised what was in there or how big the box was.
Enough to remove a wheel and repair a puncture.
What sort of petrol tap would have been used back then?

Petrol tap

Ken, the original tap would have been the push/pull hexagonal plunger type with the reserve lever , the same as FB used post war
See Ebay item No.332829116667 for an example , may or may not be the correct thread ?

Oh that's what it has on. Just looked a bit modern. I will have it apart and free things off.

Thank you.
