Registration finally arrives

Post  FBKev on Wed Oct 10, 2018 4:27 pm

After getting on for 3 months I have received a V5C for the Falcon81. I am the 3rd owner and it was registered on the 27/02/1959. According to info I have found on the net The RVS prefix means it was registered in Greenock (VS) Luton after 1974. And the James XUH, was supplied by Jordan's of Hull was registered in Cardiff (UH) in Nov 1959. Thanks JH for your help and info on the vagaries of DVLA. Can any tell me what makes a reg non transferable? don't wish to transfer just interested.

Transferable reg.

If a number is non-transferable ,there will be a note in the notes column at the bottom of the front page which will say something
" this number cannot be tranferred to another vehicle"

if there is nothing in the notes column saying it cannot be transferred then it can, unless they have made a mistake when issuing an age-related number and forgotten the note and you are the owner who was given the number, if that is the case you cannot transfer it, but if you change the owner and it comes back again without the non-transferable note, then you can !
