1933 'Something?? Help!

Post  Johnyfalcon on Mon Sep 17, 2018 4:39 am

Folks, recently lucked into a real hardcase of a basket case but alot of the poor girl is there. †Trying to figure out what I have. † Engine is a 2-EA †serno:XZA 8308
Frame Number is C28065.

I figure its a 1933 196cc Single ported 'something' †
Either a Blackhawk 29 or 30 † or a Falcon 31,.....

The tank appears to be originally chromed.

Help anyone?

C frame Nos. as you say are 1933, there were 2 bikes using the 2E , XZA engine at this time
1 Black Hawk No 29 this had Villiers flywheel magneto
2 Black hawk No 30 this had Miller coil ignition and Dynamo

The Falcon would have had a KZ or KZS super sports engine

so it looks as if you have a Black Hawk, the electrical set up will determine which one

Thatís great, thank you. I have a 1933 Black Hawk 29 because it is a Villiers flywheel magneto.
The engine is in really bad condition so if anyone knows where I can source a piston and crank set for the 196 cc. I may eventually be able to resurrect this fine bike.
