Battery problem

Post  Peter236uk on Sun Aug 26, 2018 10:22 am

Hi My falcon has two 6v batterys joined together which i assume gives 12v ? should they be charged ? Might seem silly question is it normal to have two 6v batterys ? Or has this been adapted for some reason.

6 volt?

Post  piston 197 on Sun Aug 26, 2018 10:57 am

It will depend if they are wired in series or parrallel, one wiring metod will give 6 Volt and one will give 12 volt, but no it is not usual ? The battery normally does not provide any power for ignition,so 6.12 or flat will not affect starting, from previous posts it would seem your ignition circuit requires an overhaul ? /new ignition coil ?
