Villiers Con Rod

Post  lushey1 on Fri Aug 24, 2018 9:16 am

Hi,
It has been recommended to me that I get a new con. rod for my Villiers XVIA engine.
The raised lettering on the rod is "Villiers IX A-B".Any suggestions for a likely source of supply? To my inexpert eye,the rod looks OK,but I must do what is advised.

The conrod marked IX A-B is for a 9A or 9B 250cc or 350cc engine, cannot it not be refurbished at Nametab engineering , he grinds out the big end eye to next size up, makes a new pin and fits o/size rollers ?
