Plover/Cadet swingarm question

Post  ScottT on Sun Aug 05, 2018 10:40 pm

1957 Cadet. Does the swingarm spindle go through part of the frame (tube under the engine) or is it only held in place by the bodywork panels?
The reason i'm asking is my bodywork has start to crack just to the side of the footrest mount and i'm not sure if this splits any further my swingarm will fall off resulting in me heading straight to the scene of the accident.
If looked at the frame drawings in the manual but they are not clear enough to make out where the spindle goes.
Anyone help?
