Miller Dynamo

Post  lushey1 on Tue Jul 24, 2018 10:41 am

I have a Miller dynamo on my Villiers engine.It appears to be missing whatever drives it.Is it driven by a sprocket? What drives the sprocket?Is it driven off the primary chain?

With Thanks

Usually there is a double sprocket on the engine crankshaft the inner one drives to the dynamo and the outer one drives to the clutch, the primary chaincase( if not a fully pannelled cruiser) has a triangular section to guard the chain to the dynamo, there is no other method to drive the dynamo.

For the model 45 yes. And it all has to fit under the enclosure panel.

Further to my original post.Here is what I have at the moment;

I must be missing a chain plus a sprocket off the dynamo!
