Front fork issue ?

Post  Mcventures on Wed Jul 18, 2018 5:19 am

Yet another question , my apologies . If u saw my last post Iíve just got the front forks back on the bike , and I can honsetly say getting those steering head ball bearings in place and the forks on was the most frustrating task 😂 but my question is regarding the steering stem bolt which holds it all together , I have it all fastened tight but there is a gap between the nut at the bottom of the steering stem and the bottom plate of the forks . ( Iím sorry I canít think of a better way to explain it) is this anything to worry about ?
Thanks Scott

Thick grease and get the wife to put the bolt through when you hold it in line.

Are you sure you haven't left a spacer out. What FB. Post a picture

Maybe you have 26 and 27 on top of the forks instead of under the top bracket.
Apart from that it's hard to be far out.
And as Intruding said. 1/4" balls and I think 19 each end.
