Yet more questions. There is noticeable fore & aft play in the forks, I think the bushes may be shot (possibly the sliders as well) Doing a bit of searching on this great site. It appears that AMC lightweight forks are all the same, is this right ? AMC spares list the parts for a Matchless G2 as Teledraulic forks 1941 - 54 & lightweights, 1 1/8" inner tube/stanchions would these be of the correct type as they have both inners and sliders at not to hairy a price. Also would the frame fitting IE tank bolts ETC be BSW, BSF or Cycle thread, as I need to source some tank bolts (must get some thread gauges)

No Teledraulic forks fitted to the G2 CSR are not the same, the falcon 81 forks are the same as 1556 to 1959 james and FB 200,225 and 250cc models

I don't want a lack of parts to keep this of the road are there any other British model these could come from? Even swapping out a whole fork set from BSA, Triumph or others.

Well with a bit of engineering anything could be fitted \?? but might be a problem when it comes to registering it, or complying with the new pre 1978 MOT law as you have to declare the machine is standard and not modified to comply, might be a problem if you declare it MOT exempt and then try to make an insurance claim ?

Good point JH. I was thinking similar vintage Bantam/C15 perhaps? I am waiting for a reply from vale Onslow to see what they have.
