The manual lists a Lodge CCL.14 fot the bike but I cant get one locally and the shops cant identify the NGK alternative.
Can anyone tell me the correct plug please.

AMC 250 engine spark plug

Hello Steve, my 1959 Cruiser 80 with this engine seems happy with NGK B6ES, but the Lodge CCL.14 as mentioned in the original instruction manual is still available from the Green Spark Plug Company (gsparkplug.com) Best wishes from James

AMC 250 spark plug

Hello Steve, just checked Green Spark Plug Co and they still have the Lodge CCL.14 available, but when you go onto the website and use the search, you must enter 'Lodge CCL14' - that is all capital letters, no dot and no space, otherwise it comes up with a failed search. Computers... aargh! James

Sadly the computer only does what it is told to do. That old phrase GIGO. garbage in garbage out still stands. It is a case of poor programming. What annoys me more on the Green plug site is the total lack of old bike names. You can't select James or DOT or FB as the maker. Yes if you want a plug for a YUGO or some obscure Yankee car.

Don't worry I am not precious. Best for two people to say, then for no people to say.
