Chaincase/Clutch housing oil top up.

Can anyone tell me how to and to what level to top up the oil on a Villiers engine Chaincase/Clutch housing. Regards Sid.

Sid there should be a level plug in the case, fill till it just starts to run out, but it will be just enough to dip the chain, most people these days run automatic transmission fluid ( auto car gearbox fluid) in the clutch case these days

Hi JH thanks for replying. There is a plug 2/3 up the case for filling?,and a drain plug at the bottom. I don't know if the level is top one. Any idea. Sid.

Level screw

The Drain plug will be at the bottom, the level plug is approx 1/3 up from bottom of case
