Falcon 54, Bearings for headstock and Fork springs

Can some one please advise me of the number and size of ball bearings (top and bottom) required for the headstock yoke for a Falcon 54. Also are there any tricks to lengthen one of the springs in the forks without having to buy new ones? I have 10mm difference in length. Neither springs are broken so I am thinking it is from the bike having been laying around for 30 odd years.

J H Goddards book says 19 off 1/4" balls top and bottom ?

i do not think 10mm difference will matter much

Thanks John. Obviously I did not read my Goddards book thoroughly enough. As for the forks when I reassembled them there was a definite lean to the side. I will change the springs around and see if that makes any difference.

Hi
I had a similar problem and found that where the print turns and locks into the bottom of the fork
There's a sort is worm and for the spring to screen into check there ? I had to take apart fix and reweld !!
