Ignition coil

Post  Grahamb on Sat Mar 31, 2018 1:21 pm

Hi All

Purchased a new ignition coil a while ago and today had a look on how to fit it.

(the bike was converted to run with a 6v HT coil off the battery)

The new ignition coil has a very small terminal on one edge to connect the primary wire to.
I tried soldering a wire to this but it would not take .

Can anyone tell me the correct way of connecting  this wire please.

Regards Graham

No soldering is the correct way you possibly need a bigger iron, i am assuming you have tinned the wire with flux and solder first ?
