AMC Logo

Post  FB vincent on Sun Mar 18, 2018 12:39 pm

AMC appeared to promote the individual brands under their control in their marketing, rather than the AMC name.

However, you will find an example of their logo in the heading of the letters contained within this story https://trialsguru.wordpress.com/2016/12/10/ajs-one-that-got-away/

Hi Bill and Sandy, yes the logo is on that site, top left of the page. Its a lozenge shaped design... looks more like a 1930s design! Never seen it before.

1961 would not have been a very good time to be buying shares in AMC I would have thought? Mike

Share price

That makes the shares 5 bob each ( 25p then), so Mr Williams bravely invested 100 in the British motorcycle industry, bet he would not have done it in 1966, even 1961 was a stretch ?

Did they ever use the logo transfers on any bikes?

bike transfers

Post  piston 197 on Sun Mar 18, 2018 2:27 pm

As Classic transfers do them and they do bike transfers, i would assume they must have been used on something from the range ?, i would imagine the late hybrid Norton/Matchless bikes in mid to late 60's where they were neither one thing or another , Norton engines in Matchless frames and Matchless engines in Norton frames
N15, P11 models etc, never used on any FB's

Currently owned by Roy Bellett. AMOC ex chairman. He saw it was dormant a few years back and brought it.
