10E gear change

Post  piston 197 on Tue Feb 27, 2018 2:11 pm

Kick start and gear change on the FB 10E are both 5/8" the four speed gearbox has a 3/4" spline on later gearboxes as used on 9E and 32.33.34.35.36.37A engines, but this was never fitted to the 10E engine, so if yours is 3/4"for the k/start you mush have a non standard gearbox or Kick start shaft ??

Post  peter@dunfordconstruction on Tue Feb 27, 2018 7:38 pm

Hi John, I have a cranked 3/4" spline kick start which has been re chromed and is complete with new rubber. The splines look pretty good and it has a new chrome bolt & nyloc nut
