Wiring in Westinghouse rectifier to Villiers 1E

Post  Cruiser79 on Sun Feb 11, 2018 6:18 pm

A friend over in Belgium is trying to rebuild a 1E twin port out of a bucket of parts. He's struggling to figure out how to wire in the Westinghouse rectifier and I'm not sure myself. I have an old villiers manual which has what I think is the correct wiring diagram (below). I read it to show that its wired in series with the two lighting coils, theres clearly one electrical connection to the lighting coils to the right on the rear pic of the back plate but I dont see the second connection? Could anyone point out how/where to hook the rectifier up? He's getting the coils rewound and the flywheel remagnetized
