Plover Wiring

Post  Rex Stewart on Sun Jan 21, 2018 6:41 pm

I have a Plover ready almost to start refurbishment. The wiring loom is missing. The engine is a Villiers 295 there are no electrical components. Would I be safe in assuming this is a direct lighting wired machine originally.

Hi Rex
Our 2 Plovers both had 2 settings for the lighting, Direct and through a battery.
Mine is still 6v and points but we have put Electronic ignition with a lighting coil on my lady's and uprated it to 12v. I just made up my own loom, it was pretty simple. It also has LED bulbs which are very bright.
The Ign kit was from Villiers services and cost 255, we are both very happy with it and that's the route I will be going with mine very soon.

Bill
That is great I can wire mine the same. At present I am getting the bits together but now have the main bits. Thanks

Rex
