Villers 14A seagul engine HELP

Post  JonTheBuilder on Sat Jan 20, 2018 8:14 am

Hi all,

So, the engine out of my 35 seagull is in with villiers services as it was significantly past its best, it was possible to open and close the points by lifting the flywheel!
Whilst heating the cases to remove the big end bearings, one of them exploded! The case that is, unfortunately. It may be possible to weld it all back together but I thought Id try here first to see if anyone knew of any or had some cases hidden away?
The engine is a non self lubing version with a pinch bolt stator plate, as opposed to the bolt on style stator.
Any help offered would be grately appreciated.

Cheers
Jon
