Falcon 87 - Big favour to ask.

Can someone kindly take a close up photo of the gearchange indicator so I can cut one out and get it fitted. Needs to be the real thing so I can get a close copy. Should it be painted or plain steel?

Once again John your extensive knowledge of parts solves the problem. That'll be one in the post. Really getting there now.

Colin,

Glad to hear that JH has sorted you out on this. For the record, the original gearchange indicator was chrome plated. Despite the alleged internal problems of the AMC engine, with their highly polished engine covers and chrome fittings, they did look good when new. I remember seeing the new 2T engined Cruisers and noted how dull the Villiers engines looked in comparison with the AMC 25T engines!

"Highly polished engines", I'd better get cracking with the solvol. I sort of stopped at grey attacking the 35 years of tarnish since it last hit the road. With everyones help, it's getting there.

Merry Xmas
