Engine & Frame number Identity Help Please.

Post  SwinTheBike on Thu Dec 14, 2017 5:08 pm

I have what I believe to be a 1958 Falcon with Villiers Engine No. 5662B 19/4 & Frame No. ZN85340. Would this be a Falcon 90 perhaps. Would appreciate some confirmation as I am hoping to have it back on the road for early Spring. Thanks in advance. Ron S.. Birmingham.

Frame No ZN is a 1958 Francis Barnett Falcon 81, manufactured between August 1957 and July 1958
the engine number you have read wrong ?? it should be 662B for a FB or 562B for a James, but 5662B is one digit too long The engine will be a Villiers 197cc mark 10E
