Cruiser 80 Coil mounting

Post  dodgeyroger on Sun Nov 05, 2017 8:40 am

I am assembling my Cruiser 80 and cannot decide the best way to mount the coil in the centre section as I recieved it as a box of parts. Do I mount it with the connections at the top withe plug lead routed thru the hole in centre section and under the seat to the cylinder head ? or upside down with the plug lead exiting at the bottom of centre section along with the wiring to the engine ? Some guidance much appreiciated,
Regards Roger

Is it not in a coil clamp, see Ebay item No 382270024112( same as a clamp used for the BSA Bantam) mounted to the bottom of the battery tray/holder ? with the lead routed out through the bodywork .
