Hello from Irenee

Post  Irenee on Sat Oct 14, 2017 7:20 pm

I'm the proud owner of the bike that my long suffering husband bill2b is currently reassembling. Every time he vanishes into his workshop 'lair' he reappears regularly to order more and more parts from Villier s services and the extremely helpful John Harding. It looks like at least a couple more weeks before I get my second drive of the bike.
It was bought as a going 147cc but when the paper licences came out I lost my bike category but didn't notice until it was too late to reinstate. So poor husband is also downsizing it to 125cc and I can drive on L plates as I did the CBT just after buying the Plover.
Regular updates will be made . . . . watch this space

Well done Irenne.
If you fancy a ride out there is a Show in Peterborough on the 28th 29th and we have several bikes on show. Not a million miles away

Well the little 122cc Plover (Felicity) fired into life this morning 2nd kick, sounds great, of course there is leaks from the primary casing and the gearbox side but as they were leaking before we started it up we kind of knew that anyway. Oh the float bowl leaks from the bottom plug as well so all in all a good result.
The Villiers supplied electronic ignition kit with the extra lighting coils was well worth buying imho. We now have it key operated with a push button to stop, 12V with small LED indicators. Very Happy
Thanks again for the your bits JH

Once we bought a second Plover (Percy) we decided to do a 5 mile run around a road that would soon be closing. Unfortunately Percy failed to make the journey, Audi and trailer saved the day. Anyway another fullish rebuild including electronic ignition from Villiers and Percy seems to be a nice runner. So this Friday just before the snow we tried the route again and both Percy plover and Felicity Barnett did the run no problems. There is always a light at the end of the tunnel so sorry to all these poor fellows losing their jobs at Carillion because of corrupt bosses and government but it meant we managed the bunny run before it closed.
