Hi
In case your thinking you can use your original coils they will not do what the completion coils will do.
They are specifically designed to do the ignition only and the other coils are for lighting.
To check the coils check resistance to make sure there is no open circuit and then if you put a volt meter accros the coil and kick the engine over you should see some movement on the needle.

Thanks, I just want to test them at this stage before I decide which way to go for ignition...I'm favouring electronic at the moment.
