Canvas windshield

Post  ScottT on Sat Dec 17, 2016 7:53 pm

Is there anywhere that supplies the old style windshields that had the bottom half made from canvas/fabric that hung around the headlamp/handlebars?
Or has anyone got one going spare? Any condition.
Failing that some good pictures with a few measurements so i could make my own, can anyone please help?

Great photo Scott, of a Kestrel 66 if Iím not mistaken? Regrettably, I'm unable to help in your quest for a windscreen. I did have one (complete with canvas), which came with my Kestrel when I originally acquired it back in the seventies, but it was in such a very bad state, it was unfortunately consigned to the bin. - Oh how I wish I knew then what I know now!

Thanks for sharing the pic anyway and the best of luck in your search,

Cheers,

PeterW

PS: I do still have the leg shields if anyone is looking for some?

Kestrel 66 ??

If you look closely at the tank you will see this is a James J15 from 1955 in RAF blue, basically the same bike as a Kestrel 69 from 1955, the Kestrel 66 has half width wheels, different forks
The James tank can be seen clearly in the pics
