Falcon 87 centre stand

Post  Colinpenny on Mon 21 Nov 2016, 19:08

I am a new member and l have a Falcon 87 1962 project which has ground to a halt for the want of a centre stand. .lf anyone has produced a stand or could provide me with some details and dimensions l could make one myself and get the project moving again.

Falcon 87 centre stand

Post  colk2004 on Tue 22 Nov 2016, 19:30

Hopefully mine will be back from the powder coaters shortly so should be able to sort something. I've had to do a lot of welding on mine to straighten it, and brace it as the original is a bit feeble...mine had elongated holes, a nasty twist, bent leg and worn feet, which is probably what happened to your original Colin.

Thanks for the contact ,l think mine probably went with the vultures who took many other parts.

Falcon 87 stand

Post  colk2004 on Wed 23 Nov 2016, 18:26

Oh. Your Falcon carcass got stripped as well Smile Strangely mine was missing a lot of the hard to find bits, and still had the easy stuff. Centre stand due back next week with a lot of other bits (if I believe the coaters), so if you need anything measuring or photographing before it gets fitted, shout out. Any bits you need just ask as I have a surplus of some bits - not even sure how!

Hi Colin many thanks for the offer of parts but over the last few months l have managed to acquire or make most of the missing bits ,Apart from the dreaded centre stand l am only in need of cosmetic bits ,I'e tank badges ,a petrol filler cap, pillion footrests etc .Since joining FBOC l have a name for the badges and l will look into this in due course.lf l get stuck l will contact you
All the best Colin P.

Colin. Try Vale-onslow for a petrol cap.I bought one from them, through their EBay site earlier this year. Brand new old stock.
