Falcon 67 Clutch Replacement

Post  Brentis1 on Thu Oct 06, 2016 8:21 pm

Hi Gents,
I have just replaced the old cork clutch in my Falcon 67 with one of the Villiers Services modern composite clutch kits (same plates corks replaced by modern clutch material).
The Falcon does very little work and I was considering running the primary cover dry and just spraying chain lubricant every 100 miles or so. Is the lubrication in the primary only for the chain or does the clutch require a little lubrication as well. If this is the case I will keep the primary wet.
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks

Brent

Not just lubrication, but some cooling as well is performed by the lubricant, I recommend using ATF or TQF as fitted to automatic car gearboxes
