Hello , Does anyone know how many Falcon 74's where made in 1956 prefix WM? And what number did this model start from?

WM frame Nos

Started WM76659 in Sept 1955 and finished WM????? at end of August 1956 ( but somewhere higher than WM80777 and lower than 80808)
That is as near as I can get, the start figure is accurate and comes from the dealers indentity guide issued to the trade from Glasses, unfortunately they do not list the start of the YM numbers for Sptember 1956.
The end figure I quote ( between 80777 and 80808 is from the FBOC register of known machines, where WM80777 is the highest recorded WM number and YM80808 is the lowest recorded YM number.

falcon 74

Thanks for that john. I don't know if you remember I got a frame from you at Shepton earlier this year. It was to turn into a trials and road register witch is all done . I already had a Falcon 74 witch I thought (wrongly) was 1957 . Yesterday I as I was up dating my FBOC records with Ken Booth I realised both bikes are WM . On looking a bit closer one is 77829 the other is 77728 only 101 apart . With a bit of school boy maths it looks like about 4150 were made about 350 a Month . So it looks like both bikes were made with in a week or so of each other . I know one was registered in the London area.
What are the chances of 60 years later one person owning 2 bikes made so close together?
It does make you wonder are there maybe more old Barnetts about than you think?
Or just pure chance!

just a matter of coincidences and a greater chance than winning the lottery ?
I was riding a Triumph tiger 90 a few years back 1963 registration 161UNY, I bought a 1954 plunger framed BSA A10 in Wales and the reg. no. was UNY161
I have owned bikes with frame numbers within 5 numbers, but never had consecutive numbered ones yet .
Having said that my FB ISDT trials bike is MHP470 and both other FB ISDT bikes exist from the 1954/5 team and they are MHP469 and MHP471 and are consecutive  frame numbers, but I only have one, and a friend of mine has the other two, all three pictured in my avatar
