Front fork interchangability

Post  john87 on Fri Apr 22, 2016 7:13 pm

Hi All,

Anyone know if the front fork and shrouds assembly that was fitted to a falcon 81 was the same as that fitted to other models??

Anyone got a pair of side panels for the same bike, or are they rather hard to find???

john..

The front fork assembly (part 004392) was common to the Falcon 74, 81 and Cruiser 75.

The side panels do appear on ebay from time to time, they are the same on both the Falcon 74 and 81.

You could also use the panels from the 87 but would need to weld up the extra front fixing hole. The 74 and 81 only have one hole, at the rear.

EDIT: I've just realised that the 74 / 81 panel has a small locating tab at the front which would need to be added to the 87 panel in order to fit.
