How long have you had your bike and are you doing a full restoration on it.
Because mine is in good nick for its age I am going to keep it as original as possible, but the seats a bodge job and there are a couple of bits missing, gear lever and battery holder.

SEAT for model 96

Post  JohnB on Tue Nov 03, 2015 12:14 am

Frank,
Iv'e had it about 18 months. It was a complete rust bucket so I stripped it down to the last nut and bolt and rebuilt it with lots of hiccups along the way. Still a way of being ready for the road but with fingers crossed I may get there one day. The seat is the big stumbling block. I have a seat that with a bit of work may fit but it's not ideal. Also not sure how rear mudguard fits to frame and original seat. I presume the curved bars fit to the seat brackets and the small brackets fit to the frame.

John, The two curved bracket bolt to the end of the frame and on to the mudguard about level with the numberplate, there are also two small brackets bolted in the same place onto the mudguard, could do with sending a photo. I think the back seat bracket fits in the same place but not sure as my seat does not have any.

Frank
