Cruiser 89 fork shrouds

Post  Druid on Thu Nov 27, 2014 11:52 pm

Hi all, the chromed fork shroud extensions on my 89 are in need of re-plating but have resisted my efforts to separate them from the shroud tubes. Could anyone advise how the extensions are fixed and the best way to remove them? I was assuming that they were an interference fit.
Thanks in anticipation, Dave.

Dave they are an interferance fit.
Get a blunt piece of metal and gently tap them off working round the edge bit by bit.

I tap them off with a piece of wood.
