Dales Run next spring

Post  kerabo on Sun Nov 09, 2014 9:32 am

With my other club we meet every April in Masham Market square in the Yorkshire Dales and after a bacon butty ride about 40ish miles to the Tan Hill Inn The Highest pub in the UK for lunch. It's a challenging ride narrow roads cattle grids and hills but nothing our bikes could not manage. I always wanted to do the run on my Barnett and this spring will do just that. There is plenty of parking room at Masham for bikes and even a car with a trailer. I may even have a day or two extra up there.
Looking from mid April to mid May on a Sunday. If anyone would like to join me look in the next Directory for contact details and I will set up  date to do it.
If you search YouTube for Sunbeam club masham to tan hill run 2014 you will see a short clip from my bike showing the sort of terrain.

A run in the Dales

Post  kerabo on Mon Jan 12, 2015 8:25 pm

If anyone had any thoughts of joining the regulars for a run in the Yorkshire Dales the day has been set as May 3rd, Masham Market place where you can leave a car and trailer to the Tan Hill Inn and after lunch a ride back.
Its possible that some may have a few extra days up there.
For some reason it never made our Directory but the BTSC put it in their mag so its possible some of them will join us. This is the only way to let people know so spread the word please.
If anyone wants to join us please let me know.

Regards Ken
