New prospective member from Australia
Hi all,
I bought what I believe to be a 1934 FB Cruiser today which is very original and seems to be missing both side and rear stands and has not been registered since 1958, needs wiring work and has no spark.
Will join club tonight with bike details which are frame number DA 28674 and engine number BYF 256.
Wiring diagram will be requested after joining club.
Thanks
Graham

Re: NEW CLUB MEMBERS
Thanks for dating my bike, it has a coil under the seat and a chain driven dynamo from what I can see, does that supply the lighting as well and how many volts would the battery be?
Is it positive or negative earth and all of the original wiring has deteriorated and will need to be replaced.
Many thanks.

I will send you a p.m with my Email address if you respond to this I will check to see if I have a suitable diagram and Email you a copy
It would be 6 Volt and in that day and age almost certainly Neg. earth, but will check

Re: NEW CLUB MEMBERS
Hi, thanks for having me. Thinking of looking at a FB Cruiser 80 250cc, so came on here to look for details and advice. I have really old bikes but I want something a bit easier to ride that I can go for a cruise on. How fast would it comfortably cruise at..

Hello I have just joined this week, my name is Rex Stewart (membership number 150) and I live in Aberdeenshire. I have a 150cc Villiers engine bike a Plover my first Frances Barnett although I did start motorcycling in 1966 on a James Cadet 150cc which had an AMC engine. So I am sure I will have plenty of questions for the forum.

Re: NEW CLUB MEMBERS
Hello everyone. I've just joined and I'm sure will be looking to pick your brains. I own a 1934 James ML (currently in parts awaiting restoration) and a 1958 James Commodore 250 (which needs light recommissioning). Thanks. Mark.

Re: NEW CLUB MEMBERS
Welcome aboard Mark, we try to be helpful,Your James ML will be a little later than 1934 or be a different James Model as the ML started as a Wartime machine in 1939 and was produced post war as a Civvy version
You Commodore shares forks, wheels, engine with the FB Cruiser, pretty much everything else is different
