Can you help?

Post  keith.hodgenia on Fri May 02, 2014 5:21 pm

I am still in need of the following parts for my 1926 model 4. A flywheel cover with removable access panel. Head lamp mounting brackets. A carburettor. the one I need is a 3/4" L/W with the tickler on the outside, (forward facing carb on r/h side of engine). Any help appreciated. Keith.

I have had conversation with a club member who has had the tooling made to make this early detachable cover type flywheel , it seems that Villiers services are going to take on the project and supply them with a percentage going to the club, not sure when they will be available mat be worth asking Steve at Villiers services ??

That's good news John. It would be nice to get at the points without splitting the frame, I will have a chat with Steve about possible cost and time frame. I had a talk with Trevor Wells last night, he is a mine of information and a nice man to boot, so thanks to Mike for that. Keith.

I have had a message from Steve at Villiers services to say that the covers are in manufacture now. I will report back when I have one in my hands. Keith.

My flywheel cover arrived today from Villiers Services, it fits well the finish is good and the aluminium polishes up a treat. Well done to all involved in getting them made. Keith.
