rectifier position

This is where the rectifier was fitted before I stripped the bike down for a cosmetic make over can any one tell me if this is where it should be or is this about right the bracket is a home made job from the looks of it,thanks Very Happy

Should be bolted to the green panel behind it sling the old lump that`s holding it on

Falcon 87 rectifier

The original Wipac selenium rectifier was dish shaped and attached horiziontally by the vertical stud from the top frame. A modern rectifier is much smaller and can be fitted to the cross plate between the two toolboxes, the tinwork providing a heat sink. The photo below shows both original and replacement rectifiers on my Falcon 87. Sandy Ross

Thank you Sandy for the picture,that would explain why the long stud under the cross frame ,that's a neat job you did with the replacement rectifier thanks again for your help
