trials bike

A side shot would help ,it looks like a 1952/54 FB Falcon or Merlin , fitted with BSA front forks, almost certainly a conversion from a road bike, but definitely the frame to convert as makes an ideal trailer,

Frame No is on l/hand side of the headstock, first letter is the year S =1952 T =1953, U =1954 etc, second letter gives the model L = Merlin,M = Falcon,
personally I would loose the BSA forks and fit something lighter, get rid of the sprung seat and fit a lower ,smaller seat, lace some cheap aluminium rims from a jap trail bike on, straight pull throttle ,some wide footpegs and enter a trail or two, I have a 1954 framed bike ( modified roadster) with a 250cc alloy barrel conversion on and modern ignition, and it goes well.

YM is a 1957 Falcon 74 ( they missed out X), yes can be returned to road easy enough, I am the clubs dating officer and can provide a dating certificate , and you will have to reply to DVLA, it will need insurance and you will need form V55/5 and a V112 MOT exemption form, I will send a p.m to you with my email and phone details
