engine swap

The front mount needs moving approx. 3/8" inch, the bottom mount stays the same, and you will need to make a new triangular plate for the rear mount. Depending which frame you are fitting it in ( assuming FB ?) the bottom of the 4 speed 32A box may foul the bottom frame rails, so a little re-jigging may be required ( not applicable to pre 1955 frames)
Best to offer up a pair of crankcases and a gearbox shell into the bottom mount with the front mount removed, bolt the front mount to the engine and re-weld to frame, the rear mount can then be measured and made.

chain run

If the current 8E chain line is o.k. then the 32A should align similar without any undue problems, if swapping from an AMC engine the chain line will alter when fitting a 9E/32A series engine.

trials kit

Post  piston 197 on Wed Dec 11, 2013 5:31 am

I have a rolling chassis with tank, seat ,chain guards brake pedal footrest etc for a Falcon 76 trials, to take a Villiers 7E or 8E engine albeit fitted with triumph 4 bolt forks and cub alloy front wheel. If anyone has been inspired by Ken Booth's exploits.
