Can anyone tell me if parts of a kestral will fit onto a merlin?

Not a lot of common parts on these 2 models,as the Kestrel was made by James and badge engineered to become a FB product,whereas the Merlin was FB production using different wheels,forks frame,mudguards etc.
I am assuming here that you refer to the post war machines,and not the built like a bridge 30's bikes ???JH
