Altenator conversion in DIRECTORY

Post  woodenhead on Thu Dec 15, 2011 7:42 pm

Hi
I've just been reading the article in the latest DIRECTORY on converting 2T and 4T engines to altenator and it mentions a picture of the components which seems to be misiing.
I'm intereseted in this article as I have a 1H which I am currently building and as it uses similar cases to the 2T it should be possible to convert it in the same way.
I currently have a 25T in a cruiser running on 12 Volts with the neccesary regulators etc and if I can convert the 1H it would make engine swops very easy
Regards

Alternator conversion

Post  chamberslane on Sat Dec 17, 2011 6:27 am

[quotHi Mike, I have a cruiser 71 that is fitted with the 1H engine. I bought it from Jeff Venning former president and the bike on which he did many long distance trips. It has had a 12 volt alternator conversion. Jeff told me that all the parts arereadily available from. Peter Savage phone number01827 874015. I believe he will supply everything you need to do the conversion. My bike has got really good lights and is always a first or second kick starter, even when its been left standing for lengthy periods of time. Might be worth giving him a ring.

Good luck Patricks of timetimee="woodenhead"]Hi

This was down to a lack of space. Graham if you would like to send me the missing images I will try and get them up on to here.
